Recipe for preparing yogurt

Bring milk to a boil, turn off the fire and let it cool. When the milk is lukewarm, add freshly cultured starter yogurt and mix thoroughly in any container and cover it. It takes 2-3 hours for the milk to coagulate in the hot season and 6-8 in the cold weather, when it may need to be covered by a towel. Generally 1 teaspoon of starter is sufficient for ever 500ml of milk. Buttermilk is prepared by churning curd and adding water, then removing the fat in the form of butter. It has the same nutritional value as yogurt.
